Welcome to the Forma Autumn '10 Fair!

Magisso will participate in the Forma Autumn '10 Fair between August 20th and 22nd. The venue is the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Center in Pasila. Magisso will display its innovative products The Magisso Kitchen Cloth Holder as well as the Red Dot Design award winning Magisso Cake Server designed by Maria Kivijärvi. Magisso attends the Kuopio Housing Fair '10 July 16th - Aug 15th

Magisso is set to take on the stage at the Housing Fair with its hit products!

The housing fair is an annual event, which offers an experience of not only home construction but also design and furnishing. As during previous years, Magisso's innovative products have a strong presence in the entire event area. The Magisso kitchen cloth holder will be displayed in most of the Fair houses. Visitors are also able to purchase Magisso's inventive everyday solutions from the design shop Sisustushalli. Welcome!

The red dot design award became a piece of cake

Magisso Ltd., the Finnish production house behind innovative design articles for everyday use, has won the valued red dot award with The Magisso Cake Server in the product design category. This year there were over 4200 submissions from 57 countries. Our Cake Server – made of stainless steel – convinced the international jury, who judges the entries by uncompromising criteria, such as functionality, durability, ecological factors but above all, innovation and quality. The Cake Server is designed by Maria Kivijärvi. Previous winners are e.g. Apple, BMW and Nokia.

Magisso goes Down Under, Life Instyle in Sydney 25th-28th Feb, 2010

Helsinki – World Design Capital 2012!

The home town of Magisso and the capital of Finland – Helsinki – will be the World Design Capital of the year 2012. This was the third time that the World Design Capital has been elected by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID). Helsinki and Eindhoven from Holland was chosen to the final round from among 46 cities that participated in the competition. The first World Design Capital was Turin in 2008, and before Helsinki, Seoul in South Korea will have the privilege to act as WDC in 2010.

Magisso in Ambiente Frankfurt, 12th–16th Feb, 2010

Urban Butik appointed as North American Distributor, 22nd March, 2009

Magisso announced at the IHA expo in Chicago, that it has appointed Urban Butik as the North American distributor for our kitchenware products. Urban Butik will be responsible for distributor and retailer networks across North America and for marketing in the US and Canada.

Productive Idea competition Nov 22th, 2008

Finnish division of Junior Chambers International (JCI) awarded Magisso Ltd in Productive Idea competition in November 2008. We won the local Southern province corporate series with Magisso® kitchen cloth holder. The winner of the national series was a global forrest company UPM-Kymmene Ltd with its UPM-ProFi. JCI is a worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs.

Magisso attends IDS09, Feb 5th–8th, 2009

Go Canada! Magisso Ltd. is attending Interior Design Show 09 that will be held in Toronto in February 5–8. IDS is a total design experience that gathers tens of thousands professionals and visitors plus approximately 300 international exhibitors every year accompanied with their newest and most innovative products. Finnish Housing Fair ’07 at Hämeenlinna

The Magisso kitchen cloth holder was premiered at Hämeenlinna’s Finnish Housing Fair, which ran from 13 July to 12 August, 2007.

Enormous interest was aroused, both among interior decorators, architects and designers at the various sites, and among the visiting families. Members of the public had a tremendous opportunity to witness the innovation at first hand, as it was on show at all 54 of the spring housing fair’s sites.

The kitchen cloth used in conjunction with the kitchen cloth holder is a new Marimekko product for autumn ´07, complementing the range designed by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi and launched in spring 2007. Cooperation between the Magisso kitchen cloth holder and Marimekko is set to continue

Habitare ´07

Heartfelt thanks to all who visited our stand (3d31) at Habitare ’07 held 19th through 23rd September. Special thanks are also due for the thousands of positive comments made about the Magisso kitchen cloth holder.
Production of the Magisso kitchen cloth holder is now underway, and the product will be available in Finland in the larger department stores, in hardware stores, and in shops specializing in furniture and kitchens, during November-December 2007.
